A young, playful, contemporary fashion brand - NelsonBlacke was newly launched by the winner of the current year of The Hong Kong Young Designer Contest, Nelson Leung. Interesting that the brand takes the inspiration of 80s game as a start point; finding a second meaning from the old games and digital characters to emphasis the meaning of 'Fun'.

Do agree every single life like a game, we growth and getting strong after tons of experiences, no matter it's good or bad, we can't rewrite the past but to create a better you (Of course I always regret the thing I did wrongly in the past, I know it can't be fixed and trust time will give me all the way back if I have improved as I trust you will see I am trying best to keep changing in a good, mature way) 

Concept is such an important element in fashion design, it affects the total mood of a collection. For this SS15 NelsonBlackle collection, it tried to prove everyone is unique and need not to care about the public's judgement. "To be what you wanna be" Nelson said.

Lots of sunglasses, twisted line with geometric graphic are easy to find from this collection to make the look standout in strong contrast color. (which is easy to get to the point of "colored sunglasses" and twisted mind isn't it?)

My favorite formal suit style played with traditional strip line fabric with geometric print, a new way and a good choice for the new formal style, not too exaggerate but unique still. 

The very last last outfit was the simple print top with waist decor and legging. I super love the loose-cut sleeveless top with a Popart-liked sunglasses print.

Chewing a special fashion moment with CHEWTHECUD SS15 Collection

HK Fashion Week was passed on Jul, 2014.  Among the talented local fashion brand,  I was more than happy to work with a playful local fashion brand - CHEWTHECUD for the new season lookbook shooting and video taking ! The very first ever hair style, make up which discovered the other side of me ;)

The very 'Zen' collection with full of pleating and textured fabric in a very eye-catching color combination - milky white with black and a bit of shape red as a highlight. I always love the shirt and coat from CHEWTHECUD to presenting the unisex atmosphere to the others, while for this SS15 collection, I personally love the innocent textured coat and the layered shirt I wore during the shooting.

For me, shirt is an essential element for Men's and I believed it could help to exaggerate the coolest beauty of every human. This season CHEWTHECUD make it into another way - playful, unisex with special draping element.It created a totally different mood of shirt look with a drapery knee length pants, netted socks and raw sandals. Simple but interesting silhouette.

Denim hit in the summer

Have you ever facing a problem of why you can't buy exactly what you want from the market ? 

Mr. fashion summer pay attention to the denim hit this season (with sweat and lots of cold drinks too..! ). Technically I super love the color & the durability of denim fabric but sadly I couldn't get the one I want from the market. Thus, I was thinking to put de concept onto my design table, to design a menswear collection about Denim.

Interesting fabric combination with different type & volume of cotton definitely make the outfit look intriguing: the tie-dye cotton, laser cut denim with the synthetic shinny strap inserted cotton fabric are the way I chose to standout my outfit. 

For the Look #1 above - Squared necklace; curvy cut on the chest & shoulder line with short pants created an interesting atmosphere of the contemporary street style. 

A simple sexy all-used coat from look #2 could make you standout in the crowd in the summer day. Yes, again, you could not ever find this type of rare style in the market but it's indeed the most easiest cool way to style and cover your body.

Denim could also been used in a simple way, a boyguard-inspired look with enclosed pullover and slim-fit short denim pants, matching with a tone-on-tone gladiator boots to create an unique look on the street.

A side-slit Chinese style shirt with light denim jacket and long pants still giving a totally different mood of denim to unleash its possibility.

No matter what type of people you are, you still have a chance to choose what you want and what you wear, need not to limited yourself and rely on the existing products but to DO IT YOURSELF.

EVERYONE IS UNIQUE AND YOU WILL BE THE ONLY ONE KNOW YOURSELF THOROUGHLY.

A day to discover local menswear design

Everyone has their right to fight for their dream and future - I was indeed impressed by my design classmates who launched their own fashion label with their passion in Hong Kong, (Yea we all know its hard as there isn't a trend to support local design in HK. Weird but true.)

In the hard time of HK design industry, my friend Derek Chan is brave to start up his design business and named as DEMO. - demonstration of fashion creation and concept in a contemporary but classical way.

For me it's more than just a clothing label - but to express the possibility of contemporary design details, cutting and elements into our daily life.

My very first try on the runway looks from the up-coming DEMO. FW'14 collection.

The royal blue length coat with interesting cut-out details on the elbow; arrow cut and small 'teeth' button on the shirt cuff; a new cut on the pants in grey and black - I was surprise on all those little creative ideas which make the collection interesting.

The details are just good for the daily life yet stylish, simple, not too over but to standout your total look.  I need not to work with the spotlight every single minute and it helps me to make a balance.

Houndtooth check is also a highlight of the collection, it comes with denim in a jacket style, way too easy to strengthen your look along with simple plain shirt and pants.

A neat cut shirts with angled collar, I love the hand feel and thickness of the material and it makes me need not to wear too much for the normal office work in the winter. 

This short pants makes my leg look longer and slimmer by the bias cut too!

How do you feel that small teeth button ? Although it's not too functional, it's indeed the interesting details for the shirt part (yea true it's enough to see so much boring shirt designs in the market)

Trust we are easy to get a simple suit from the mass market but hard to find a way to support local creation because of the accessibility of info. distribution. Let's come with me to get to know, to support HK local designer, and, this is a top reason why I start blogging.

A quick view at Art Basel

I managed to visit Art Basel @ Hong Kong Last week with friend after a whole day work at office (yes some Art refreshment could wake my inner me up to see how beautiful the earth can be). That is an opening night, tons of visitors from different country, champagne, art works, smile, and fun.

BEFORE - I got an oily red face after gym which is the obviously way to show the problem of my enlarged pores... I tried to use the Deep Pore Daily Cleanser with ARIA for the first minute and applied a thin layer of Deep Pore Detoxifying Clay Mask to the clean skin for the next 15 minutes, using ARIA with warm water to help loosen and remove the clay mask thoroughly without irritation.

AFTER - Surprisingly my skin looks brighter, smoother after treatment and the pore appearance has been reduced ! (I do not know how to calculate the % of the performance, but true the pore got smaller in visual)
